Senior Clinics and Senior Center Initiatives

with Center for Disability & Elder Law (CDEL)

 

DEL is one of the first agencies to take a chance on the new idea PBN presented. Through this agency, PBN attorneys are able to assist low-income seniors in numerous legal matters such as estate planning and credit issues.

 

CDEL's partnership is a great example of how services can be expanded geographically. Because our attorneys do not work downtown, CDEL assigned its western suburban clinics to PBN to (sub)manage. With PBN managing two established clinics, CDEL was able to open yet another western clinic, this time in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago. These three clinics are now solely staffed by PBN attorneys.

 

In the clinics, attorneys draw up powers of attorneys, living wills, and transfer of deeds, among other things. PBN attorneys also provide attorneys for local Senior Center Initiatives where powers of attorneys and living wills are taken care of in one sitting.

 

Hundreds of clients have been seen by PBN attorneys and underserved geographic areas have received legal resources.
